Reposting a comment here as a PSA (re: Notification issue)

((I think, honestly, that the notification issue was stemming from the fact that I moved a bunch of threads over here from Tumblr and then replied to them because it was my turn-- essentially replying to my own posts, which wouldn't as a default notify anyone. LJ sends notifications when people respond directly to your entries and to your comments, and it does have a section in the account settings (under Privacy/Pingbacks) where you can set it to notify you when someone posts something with your user id. Beyond that, though... I dunno... Maybe the pingbacks just don't work on mobile?))

This is why I always check my Friend Feed. That way I know what's getting posted by people I friend and Comms I belong to.

Yep, I've always hit refresh on my LJ friends page more than is probably good for me when I use one. :P

Gonna try to get to the privacy section via browser. This damn phone keeps blocking LJ pages at random.

Pingbacks aren't an available option on the site or the app via mobile. I'll look into it when I get back on the computer. Maybe that will fix my problem.

Oh, damn. Hope you can find a way to work it out. If you're getting comment notifications for replies to your entries and comments, though, and you glance through your friend feed routinely, you should be good for the most part. The pingbacks are more for when someone comments to an entry that you aren't already receiving notifications for.
