She kept a hold of him as he leaned on the sink, though she was unsure whether she'd be able to actually keep him from falling if he lost his balance. After a moment, he seemed to regain his composure enough to straighten his spine and turn back to her.
"All right," she said with the same degree of quietness, and nudged one of his arms over her shoulder, bracing him with a hand over his ribs as she helped him turn and move towards the living room.
Slowly, they reached the couch, and she carefully lowered him down, helping him pivot and lie back, sliding a pillow beneath his head. "Okay, I'll get that cloth now," she murmured, touching his forehead and shaking her head at the heat emanating from it. "Hopefully we can get this fever down."
